I work in finance &amp; love it so I hyperfocus on it at the expense of friends, eating, sleep, etc.  I too am still searching for ways to manage it, but it&#039;s tough because there are times, epecially because of my high productivity and ability to get things done at work, that I&#039;m quite pleased with my hyperfocus.  It&#039;s only when I stop and realize I haven&#039;t seen my friends for months, and I&#039;m 45 and still single that I realize the dark side of hyperfocus and my real lack of control over it.  It can be very seductive when you are in the midst of it :(</description>
